Promotions and Special Events Manager
Location: Pala, CA
Create, plan, coordinate and execute promotions and special events. Encourage customer participation and bring excitement, activity and celebration to the casino floor while driving revenue and providing exceptional guest experience.QUALIFICATIONS:

- Develop and implement
departmental policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of money
handling procedures.
- Knowledge of gaming
regulations, promotional/giveaway and gaming tournament regulations.
- Must possess
outstanding interpersonal communication skills and be proficient in
communicating in verbal and written formats to effectively interface with
guests and Team Members.
- Ability to create and work within budgets, and negotiate contracts.
- Must be able to do basic math for the purpose of doing budgets and basic analysis.
- Must have basic Office software knowledge and be able to learn and operate industry software and programs.
- Must read, write, and speak English.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Work with relevant
departments to plan, organize and promote on-property and public
events/themes.
- Conduct drawings,
promotions, slot tournaments and awarding prizes
- Organize promotional
activities, including drawings, announcements, and award ceremonies. Speak
on property audio wide system and in front of large crowds.
- Generate excitement and
celebrate promotions and special events.
- Prepare and maintain
documentation and files of all records related to promotions and events.
- Create, review, and
submit rules and procedures to PGC and other inter-company communications.
- Initiate all required
and needed assistance from Team Members and vendors to produce promotions
or tournaments.
- Gather email addresses
and Privileges Club sign-ups both on and off property, as needed.
- Perform and maintain
inventory counts for promotional and special event materials.
- Promote Pala Casino Spa
& Golf Resort at both on and off property events.
- Maintain, update, and
distribute promotions collateral on and off property.
- Evaluate cost
effectiveness and marketable tracking information of all promotions and
tournaments to ensure profitability.
- Continually seek unique
and innovative methods to expand special events.
- Comply with PGC,
department and company rules, policies, and procedures.
- Must be a team player
and demonstrate the ability to interact effectively with coworkers,
volunteers, the public and media.
- Must possess excellent
personal characteristics, such as leadership, initiative, friendly
attitude, good judgment, honesty, and tactfulness.
- Handle guest complaints
and concerns in a professional manner always.
- Keep abreast of
competitor’s events/promotions/entertainment and their effectiveness.
- Must be able to work
both independently and collaboratively as a team.
